State Testing
Currently the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards is the agency that gives the Texas licensing exam. The test is called the MBLEx. The text can be taken prior to completing the massage therapy coursework or receiving a transcript. Visit the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards website to gain valuable testing information including current costs. In addition to taking the MBLEx, you will need to take the Jurisprudence Exam. This is an online no fail exam.
When all tuition is paid and coursework and internship is completed the student transcript will be released. At this time the graduate sends an application for license to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Click here for more information.
