ABOUT US

The North Texas School of Swedish Massage was founded in 1994 by Don Halsell, Marilyn Halsell, and their daughter Nilda Halsell-Tull. The family fell in love with massage therapy and wanted to provide others with the opportunity to enjoy life along with their career. Becoming a massage therapist allows a person to choose to have a positive impact and positive change everyday. We believe in a healthy balance between Faith, family, and your career. A career in massage therapy can allow that—the opportunity to be successful without sacrificing everything else.

Over the last 30 years it has been a joy providing the basic entry level education required for massage licensure. Now the focus is changing to provide more specific and detailed continuing education to those seeking to improve their hands-on techniques as well as how to market and implement the new protocol in the current marketplace. So the school's focus will now be directed toward those seeking hands-on advanced education to fulfill the six hour per year CE credit Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation requirement. OUR GOAL

NTSSM's goal is to provide an educational opportunity for each student to meet the state of Texas' requirements for gaining the educational requirements. We strive to provide an exceptional education at an affordable price. For this reason, we focus quality over quantity; classes are kept small so that students gain the hands on experience and attention from instructors that we believe is necessary for students to be successful.
